Descant: October 9, 2017

Did you have a good break? See your family and eat lots of food? I hope the proceedings all went well!

Fundraisers are getting busy and there is limited space in the cafeteria. Remember, your club can hold fundraisers after school or any other time after school, at sports games, music events, etc..

Speaking of which, Family Weekend is coming up soon and on Thursday, November 2nd which means your club can run a booth if you’d like. Just tell your sponsor to put a Y (yes) in the Family Weekend column on the clubs spreadsheet. I’ve already notified sponsors so they should know what to do (but please remind them if they don’t). I’ll extend the date till this Wednesday, 9/11.

The end of quarter 1 is approaching..if you can believe it. For seniors, that means senior privileges will begin once quarter 2 is here. Until then, everyone should stay in the study hall which you have been given. For all grades, please do not ask your teachers to leave study hall to visit another teacher until quarter 2.
Also, keep in mind that quarter 1 and quarter 2 are both apart of the continuous semester one. By that, I mean that grades do not reset in Q2. They continue until the end of S1.

What week is it anyways?

I’ve asked our HS faculty members a few questions and I’ll give you the answer. If you are the first to guess the correct faculty member, you’ll get yourself a donut!! To submit your guess, reply to the email I send each week but remember to reply to me only. Do not reply all.
Can you guess which teacher gave the answers to the following questions?
What was one of your favorite songs in high school?
Where did you dream about traveling to when you were in high school?
The Amazon.
What did you like to do with your friends in high school?
Ride and work with horses.
Do you have any interesting high school fun facts?
I used to ride bulls in rodeos.

How many years have you been a teacher?

Mr Wilkins
