Dragon Descant, 26 November 2018

Courtesy KISJ Theatre Department

Kudos to Mr. Burnham and the entire cast of characters and technical support personnel for the fabulous performances of Almost, Maine this past week. We are surrounded by students who are hard-working and multi-talented, and it is a joy to see the culmination of all their efforts. This next week we look forward to the Winter Band Concert (PAC) and Art Exhibition (3rd floor foyer) on Thursday evening, November 29th at 7 PM. I know the school community will want to come out for another opportunity to see their fellow Dragons demonstrate their talents! Speaking of which, all band students will be rehearsing for the Winter Band Concert Nov 26 & 28, 2018 3:40 PM – 4:30 PM in the PAC. Athletes may depart at 4:15. On Thursday, Nov. 29, all students will be involved with rehearsal from 3:40 until concert time at 7:00 PM.

Students, please note that you are not permitted to email faculty groups in the HS, nor should you email faculty or student groups in other divisions, either. If you need to email your individual teacher,  or a HS student group, that is acceptable. When emailing a HS student group, please always use our common language of communication, which is English.

Ms. Cave would like to remind students that you should not be dropping your bags in the library over lunch. If you need to store your backpack, please do so in your assigned locker. For the few of you who did not sign up for a locker, it is not too late! Please come to the HS office to do so.

Seniors, the deadline for purchasing prom tickets will be Friday, Dec. 21. Please see a member of the Senior Planning Committee for ticket prices and details.

Please be reminded that each day of exam week is a scheduled school day. Students who don't come will be marked as absent, and any absence will count towards the total of 10 allowed absences per semester. Monday is scheduled to be a full day. Tuesday-Thursday will be half-days for students who don't need to do any make-ups. Friday will conclude the semester, and will be a half-day.

Illegal internet activity will be more tightly controlled and acted upon by HS leadership. Students caught on websites deemed illegal (blocked) or conducting illegal activity on the internet will face warning or consequence. For clarification, illegal internet activity includes, but is not limited to, gambling and viewing pornography or North Korean websites.
