Dragon Descant, 3 June 2019

One last goodbye to the KISJ Class of 2019!

Locker Cleanout

Students will be cleaning out their lockers during advisory on Thursday. Please make sure that you take everything home or throw it in the trash. Nothing should be left in the lockers.

Clublication

Please have a look at the inaugural issue of Clublication. Our students did a phenomenal job! Thank you also to those teachers who supported this project, Ms. Wilke and Ms. Georgi.

Final Exam Reminders

Students sitting for exams (June 3 - June 5) will return their textbooks for their classes at the table, as they enter the gym. All students must return their textbooks by June 5.

Academic Honesty: All students must review the HS Academic Integrity Policy before taking their HS semester exams.

Dress for exam days: Students may wear only their KISJ uniforms during finals. Also, no watches, water bottles, pencil cases, blankets or other items will be allowed. Please keep heavy/bulky coats out of the testing area. Rubber-bottomed shoes are preferred for the gym. Failure to dress accordingly may result in missing an exam.

Procedures on the day of the exams: All students must report to the cafeteria at least 15 minutes before the exam. Please sit with your class period for that specific exam. You will be called into the hallway by grade and will enter into the gym by class period. You must stay in the gym in your seat for the duration of the exam. [PLEASE NOTE: As you enter the gym, students will be dropping off their textbook for that class at the table.]

Day students are not permitted in the dorms during exam week, June 2-7. Day students do not need to be on campus if they are not scheduled to take an exam Monday-Wednesday (there are just a few students in this situation). However, ALL students need to be present for both Thursday and Friday mornings.

Co-curricular Club Closeout

All club officers (and interested club members) should please take a few minutes to detail club activities and provide recommendations for the continuation of your club(s) here before May 31, 2019 @4:00pm.

Upon receiving feedback from sponsors, members, and officers, we will cross-reference insights to improve our club program and processes for next year. Strongly represented clubs that are able to demonstrate consistently positive feedback will be prioritized to continue next year. Your feedback is vital to this process!

Kindly discuss this among fellow officers and members so that your club is well-represented. If activities have finalized for the year, please facilitate communication among the group to ensure your club(s) has/have voice.

Additionally, with a few specific exceptions: funds raised by clubs MUST be repurposed before May 31st at 12:00pm.

If you have curiosities or doubts about club balance, and/or if you would like to brainstorm ideas about how to appropriate funds in a socially and/or environmentally conscious way, please reach out to kwilke@kis.ac.
